This practical resource introduces students to digital encoders and decoders through a range of practical activities.
The practical activities based around the Encoder/Decoder Digital Systems Card (320-44) are available within the digital curriculum materials provided with our Electronics Study Trainer.
Practical tasks include the following:
- Investigating a digital encoder
- Decoding the output from a binary counter
- Building and testing an encoder-decoder system
- Fault-finding an encoder-decoder system
