Smart Home Energy Trainer – Arriving Autumn 2026!
Things don’t hold still at LJ Create. Our R&D team has been busy developing the world’s first Smart Home Energy Trainer. Launching this autumn, this hands-on teaching panel demonstrates how a modern smart home manages, produces, stores, and uses electrical energy.
This new panel trainer from LJ Create includes curriculum for safe exploration of the full energy ecosystem of a home utilizing solar power, battery storage, EV charging, heat pumps, and smart control systems. It is a complete smart-home energy system presented on a single training board, illustrating the interaction of all components.
This innovative tool is designed to enhance understanding of smart home energy management:
Demonstrates Solar PV Generation
- Learners can see how two PV strings produce DC electricity and how that energy flows into the system
Shows How Energy Is Converted and Stored
- The trainer includes an inverter, a DC‑DC converter, and a storage battery
- This lets learners understand how energy is converted between AC and DC and how batteries charge and discharge.
Teaches Back‑Up vs Non‑Back‑Up Circuits
- The board clearly separates: Backed‑up circuits (powered during outages) and Non‑backed‑up circuits
- This mirrors real smart‑home installations and teaches load‑priority management.
Simulates Real Household Loads
- The trainer includes immersion heaters, an air‑to‑water heat pump, lighting circuits, and an EV charger.
- This helps learners understand how different appliances draw power and how smart systems allocate energy.
